Police-Prostitute Interactions: Discretion or Misconduct

Police officers involved in law enforcement behave in a number of ways when interacting with street level sex workers, some of which are beyond the appropriate use of police “discretion”. This research article identifies 6 different interactions that women involved in prostitution have had with police officers, some of which are categorized as misconduct and are violations of the civil liberties of women and are violations of law.
